Jakartans Urged to Concerned Cleanliness of Ciliwung River

Jakarta residents are urged to be more concerned the cleanliness of the river. It is as one way to keep the water quality in the capital.

"We continue to conduct socialization and give knowledge to the people, communities, students and college students to care about the cleanliness of Ciliwung River," expressed Peni Susanti, Chairwoman of Clean Ciliwung Movement (GCB), during commemoration of Water World Day, Tuesday (3/22).

While Director of PAM Jaya, Erlan Hidayat said, by maintaining hygiene and water quality in Ciliwung, it may be the source of raw water for Jakarta people back open.

"To sustain the need of clean water for people in Jakarta that continues to grow, there must be an ongoing effort to improve the quality of water sources in Jakarta, especially the Ciliwung River," he finished.
